We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Plumbing Tutor to join the education team at HMP Wayland, helping learners develop valuable trade skills, gain recognised qualifications, and build pathways into employment.

The Role

As a Plumbing Tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based plumbing lessons.
• Teach learners working towards vocational qualifications.
• Develop learners' plumbing knowledge, practical skills, and industry awareness.
• Deliver training in areas such as:
  • Pipework installation
  • Hot and cold water systems
  • Drainage systems
  • Health & Safety
  • Plumbing repairs and maintenance
  • Hand tools and equipment
  • Industry best practice
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare learners for qualifications and future employment opportunities.
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment.
• Support learners in achieving their individual goals and aspirations.

What We're Looking For

We would love to hear from candidates with:

• Occupational experience within Plumbing.
• A Level 2 Plumbing qualification as a minimum.
• Industry experience as a Plumber, Plumbing Supervisor, Plumbing Assessor, or Plumbing Trainer.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for developing and supporting learners.
